IS IT SAFE TO DRINK FROM THE TAP ?
No it's not. You should only drink bottled water. The water from the tap in Bali is a little bit salty (when you're close to the coast).
It is safe to brush your theet with the water from the tap and to take a shower!
DO I NEED VACCINATIONS WHEN TRAVELING TO BALI ?
There are a few recommended vaccinations that you should always consider when traveling to Asia.
Inform your family doctor that you're traveling to Bali and your travel plans. Your doctor will inform you about the recommended shots to take.
DO I NEED A MEDICAL CERTIFICATION ?
We do recommend to have a check up with your doctor before going diving. This way, you will reduce the risk of having ear problems while equalising.
When you do a course, it is mandatory to fill in the medical statement. When you answer on any of those questions YES, we will have to ask you to get cleared by a doctor. This is also possible to do at home before coming to Bali.

There are a few money changers around the Parking Area in Padang Bai where you can go and change money. Make sure to count your money before going so you know how much you want to change, and count the money again before leaving the money changer office!
If it's more convenient for you, the money changer can come to our resort. In this way, you can change your money in all tranquility of our reception. There are no extra fees for this service.
You can pay with Visa and MasterCard in most hotels and restaurant around Bai (expect for the local small warungs/homestays).
We don't charge you any extra fee to pay with creditcard.
Indonesia has Indonesian Rupiah as a currency. The smallest note is 1 000, the biggest 100 000. Make sure to have a look at all the colours of the different notes so you know with what you're paying. Most common bank notes to pay with are 50 000 IDR (blue) and 100 000 IDR (red).
We also accept USD, EUR, AUS$ in our resort.
PADANG BAI - AIRPORT
From the Airport you can take a taxi to our resort in Padang Bai, this takes about 1,5 hour. Bluebird Taxi is the official company for taxi's in Bali. You can agree on a price before getting into the taxi.
If you want to have a smooth transition after arriving from a long flight, our drivers are available to pick you up from the airport. We will be waiting for you when you arrive.
Please send us your flight information, port of origin and estimated arrival time when making your booking.
We can also drop you off at the airport, we will leave about 4 hours before your flight in Padang Bai (2 hours for the trip there, 2 hours before the flight for check in)
PADANG BAI - GILI
We are located in the village where the fast boats are leaving to Gili. There are a lot of companies who are going, ranging from smaller boats to bigger boats, going from a cheaper option and party boat to a little bit more comfortable and quiet.
We would recommend the bigger boats of Eka Jaya. When you arrive, let us know when you want to go to the Gili's and we will book a ticket for you. The people from the company will pick you up in our resort half an hour before the boat is leaving. The boats are going at 9am, 11am and 4pm.
The easiest is that you buy an OPEN RETURN TICKET. You will go with a voucher for the return ticket to the Gili's, the day before you want to go back to Padang Bai you just go the office on the Gili's (located in the harbor) to claim your ticket back.
PADANG BAI - NUSA PENIDA
SLOW FERRY - From Padang Bai there is 1 slow ferry going to Nusa Penida each day between 11 am - 3 pm. You will have to go to the main ferry harbor in town to check the time for the day you want to leave. Ticket price is +/- 40 000 IDR per way.
FAST BOAT - From Padang Bai there is no Fast boat leaving, but you can go to Kusamba. This is the next village and there are boats leaving every hour between 8 am and 3 pm. Price is +/- 100 000 IDR per way.
PADANG BAI - LEMBONGAN
There is 1 fast boat every day going to Nusa Lembongan from Eka Jaya Fastboat company.
PADANG BAI - AMED / TULAMBEN / UBUD / SANUR / KUTA / ...
We can arrange a transport to another city in Bali for you. Just let us know when you want to go and where. Prices depend on the distance, email us to get a price for your transport.
Getting a motorbike to drive around Bali is a very common way to travel. Make sure you bring your international driving licence before getting a bike.
Prices range between 60 000 IDR - 100 000 IDR per day, you might get a discount if you rent it for multiple days. You can get bikes on the parking area in Padang Bai.
