Working closely with your PADI instructor, you’ll fine tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you can easily anticipate and solve common problems. You’ll gain dive theory knowledge, management and supervision abilities to become a role model to other divers.
PADI Divemasters are well respected dive professionals, sought by dive operations all over the world.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Through knowledge development sessions, water skills exercises, workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the skills to guide certified divers and assist in a variety of scuba diving activities.
Topics and practical workshops include:
- role and characteristics of a Divemaster
- supervising dive activities & assisting student divers
- diver safety and risk management
- divemaster conducted programs & specialized skills
- business of diving and your career
- awareness of the dive environment
- dive setup and management
- mapping an open water dive site
- conducting dive briefings
- organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive
- conducting a scuba review & skin diver course
- assisting DSD and leading Discover Local Diving programs

PREREQUISITES
PADI AOWD and PADI Rescue Diver
Minimum age: 18 years
Minimum 40 logged dives at the beginning of the course
Proven EFR course within the last 24 months
Doctor attested diving fitness within the last 12 months
