Frequently Asked Questions
HOW FAR AWAY ARE YOUR DIVE SITES ?
We always say DRIVE LESS, DIVE MORE. We are located in the centre of the action, with dive sites all around us and easy access to all of them. No need to move around hotels and luggage, you can dive them all from one place.
Padang Bai dive sites - 5-15 min by boat
Manta Point - 50 min by boat
Gili Biaha - 25 min by boat
Tulamben Liberty Wreck - 1h20 by car (shore dive)
WHAT IS THE WATER TEMPERATURE ?
This depends from dive site and time. Tulamben is generally always around 27-29 degrees. Crystal Bay is often colder with temperatures around 25 degrees. From July until November we have dry season (so almost no rain), but you can be surprised by some cooler waters. Generally the water between November and June is around 26 - 29 degrees. Between July - November it can range between 19 and 25 degrees.
SHOULD I WEAR A SHORTY, LONG 3mm or 5mm WETSUIT?
We have 3mm long wetsuits, this is the same wetsuit as our staff is diving in.
You can always bring a rash guard to wear under the wetsuit.
If you know you get cold easily or you will be diving a lot, we can give you a short 3mm wetsuit to wear on top of your long wetsuit.
A 5mm wetsuit can be suitable for dry season (July - November).
WHAT IS THE VISIBILITY ?
The visibility around Bali is very good all year round. Expect around 10 - 20 meters visibility. The days before Full and New moon the visibility can drop a little bit.
In Manta Point, the visibility can change day by day, all year round. The visibility tent to be there around 5 meters because of the algae in the water (the reason why the manta's come).
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL I BE DIVING WITH ?
We try our very best to keep the groups very small so your guide can search for you the best critters. Most of the times are groups are 2 divers per guide.
HOW LONG ARE THE DIVES ?
Our dives are 1 hour or being Low on Air (50 bar).
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DIVING ?
We bring fruits, water, coffee, tea, towels, dive site maps, fish ID slates, ... on the boat.
Lunch is included and served in the restaurant, or when doing 3 dives a day in Nusa Penida or Biaha/Tepekong/Mimpang our chef made lunch to eat on the boat.
